“3 Mujeres y el Fuego” at the Casa-Mirador de Lukas, Valparaíso

From 6 to 30 September 2007, the Valparaíso room of the Casa-Mirador de Lukas presented the exhibition “3 Mujeres y el Fuego” (Three Women and Fire), enamels on metal by artists Lelia Galdames, Paula Lara and Paz Schwencke. The show was organised by the Fundación Renzo Pecchenino-Lukas.

The three exhibitors trained at the Viña del Mar School of Fine Arts with master enamellist Olga Ruiz Contardo. Paz Schwencke works enamel on copper with contemporary techniques that let her reveal the copper and use patinas, and seeks bold forms so that the support becomes part of the work.
