“Hielos del sur” wins first prize at the International Enamel Biennial

In 2013, Paz Schwencke took part in the 3rd International Enamel on Metal Biennial “Ciudad de Viña del Mar” and won the “Adriana Ruiz” First Prize, worth US$2,500, with her work “Hielos del Sur”, inspired by Laguna San Rafael. The work uses glass to evoke the look of ice.

According to the organisers, more than 80 works were submitted by 65 participants from different countries and 65 were selected for the official exhibition, shown at the Sala Viña del Mar. The artist said the prize recognises the ten years she has been working in enamel.
