“Paraíso del Sur”: windows onto the landscape of Aysén, from north to south

In 2016, Paz Schwencke applied for a Regional FONDART Creation project called “Paraíso del Sur”.

The exhibition brings together around ten paintings of 100 x 80 cm that capture the textures, nuances and colours of Patagonia, like windows onto representative places from north to south of Aysén: Coyhaique, Puerto Aysén, Puerto Cisnes and Melinka.

The exhibition was shown in January 2017 in three cities: from the 9th to the 14th at the Coyhaique Cultural Centre, from the 16th to the 21st at the Puerto Aysén Cultural Centre and from the 23rd to the 28th at the Puerto Cisnes Cultural Centre. It was funded by the Regional FONDART, 2016 call, with the collaboration of the Coyhaique Cultural Centre and the municipalities of Cisnes, Aysén and Coyhaique.
